Beynac-et Cazenac is a French municipality in the Dordogne department, in the Aquitaine region. The municipality has 516 inhabitants (2005) on an area of 12.74 km² (41 inhabitants per km²). Beynac-et-Cazenac is one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France.

Located at the foot of its imposing castle overlooking the Dordogne, the village adds to the beauty of its site the pleasures of Art, Gastronomy and the river Dordogne
in the region of New Aquitaine (formerly Aquitaine region). The inhabitants are called Beynacois and Cazenacois and Beynacoises-en-Cazenacoises.
The municipality has an area of 12.7 km² and has had 572 inhabitants since the last census of 2007. With a density of 44.9 inhabitants per km² Beynac-et-Cazenac has a strong increase of 13% its population compared to 1999.
Surrounded by the municipalities of Vézac, Saint-Vincent-de-Cosse and Allas-les-Mines, Beynac-et-Cazenac is located 2 km northwest of Vézacde largest city in the area.
Located at an altitude of 150 meters, the Dordogne river, Pontou creek and Ruisseau du Brudou are the main rivers that cross the town of Beynac-et-Cazenac.
The city is close to the regional park of Causses du Quercy.
The mayor of Beynac-et-Cazenac is called Alain PASSERIEUX.
